Carolin Schulz-Burgess studied law at the Maximilian Universitaet in Wuerzburg, Germany, where she graduated with a JD degree in 1997. During this time, Carolin spent a semester at the Rijksuniversiteit Leiden (Netherlands) on an Erasmus stipend studying European Union law. From 1997 to 1998, Carolin completed her legal assistantship at the High Court of Nuremberg, and from 1998 to 1999 she interned at the Raleigh, NC, law firm of Everett, Gaskins, Hancock & Stevens. In spring of 2000, she completed her Bar exams in Munich. Shortly thereafter, Carolin began work at the Law Offices of Hendrik Koenemann in Lueneburg, Germany. German Legal Services was founded in 2006 and began its European cooperation with offices in Munich shortly thereafter. Carolin Schulz-Burgess is fully licensed by the Munich Bar, as well as by the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a Foreign Legal Consultant.
